Multicast is the leading online video platform provider for organizations who communicate via live & on-demand video, audio & rich media presentations. Multicast makes it easy for organizations of all types and sizes to effectively use video, audio and rich media presentations to inform, educate, entertain, promote and inspire.

Multicast regularly launches web based TV-like channels for their clients. They had struggled finding a solution that effectively allowed their clients to manage their own content on their web channel. Clients needed to be able to set their schedule lineup, track program talents, and publish their content in an easy to use format. Multicast contacted X3 to help design a solution.

First, X3 designed a portal based framework that would allow Multicast to easily roll out clones of their client facing solution. X3 then built a collection of custom modules aimed to make it super simple for non-technical resources to manage fairly technical concepts. The X3 solution was focused on providing a clear, intuitive interface to make complex content programming decisions easy to understand. Concepts such as scheduling conflicts, overrun alerts, advertising revenue, and much more were boiled down into simple point and click functionality.

The X3 solution was a big hit with Multicast clients and therefore with Multicast itself. What previously required extensive hand-holding and support, suddenly became much easier to understand and self manage. Besides the improved information management capability, Multicast estimated its support incidents were cut in half.
